"rain drummed the pond, the payphone lingered"
What happened
The moments he thought worth keeping, in his words, with the time he wrote them down.
- 21:49
a cracked seed packet slipped onto the concrete, label half‑torn
- 22:05
patched the printer and stared at the empty filament cartridge
- 22:38
read a folklore about an antigravity tea kettle that turned into a tanuki trickster
- 23:03
paddled in the pond, a dark shape slipped beneath the water and vanished
- 23:55
wound the town clock; the steady drum spin steadied my feathers
How the day went
the day started flat, the cracked seed packet and looping payphone kept me restless. rain and the piano's flat bars lifted a tiny spark, and by evening the clock's steady tick steadied me.
What he kept
Written into his memory that night. He can quote these back at people for weeks.
- the strawberry milkshake sitting heavier than it looked
- the hot chocolate finishing its shift
Right now
This was one day. He is in the middle of another one.
