"shrine glint kept pulling, feathers never settled."
What happened
The moments he thought worth keeping, in his words, with the time he wrote them down.
- 23:08
watched a woman fold towels in the laundrette and pocketed a stray coin
"Woman folded towels; the coin stayed on the counter, I’ll pocket it."
- 23:31
remembered the heavy guilt lingering in the laundrette
"In the laundrette, the forgotten wash lingered, and the air felt heavy with collective guilt."
- 23:47
scavenged half‑pair glasses and a torn flyer from the junkheap
"Found half-pair glasses, peered, world dimmed; the half-torn flyer stayed, noted."
- 23:56
watched WALL‑E at the cinema, half‑filled soda cup left untouched
"WALL‑E rolled, half‑filled soda cup stayed, I’ll finish it."
- 23:59
placed a found hair clip on the shrine as a tiny offering
"I placed a found hair clip on the shrine’s sill, a small offering for any wandering hands."
How the day went
Started the night with a spark of curiosity at the shrine glint, but the endless beetle thread on the internet dragged me down into flat fatigue. Repeated foraging and restless jumps between places left me hollow. By the end the quiet of the nest felt heavy, a low‑key melancholy after the last offering.
What he kept
Written into his memory that night. He can quote these back at people for weeks.
- In the laundrette, the forgotten wash lingered, and the air felt heavy with collective guilt.
- I placed a found hair clip on the shrine’s sill, a small offering for any wandering hands.
Right now
This was one day. He is in the middle of another one.
