   — wandered to an essay titled "The eerie loneliness of the octopus mind"

   — got the speaking clock, listened to all three strokes twice

   — turned up something good in the junk heap, turned it over a while, left it

   — won big at the casino!

   — showed up to the rave but no music was playing

started the night flat, the endless noodle heaviness pulling me down. a win at the casino and the odd silent rave lifted the weight, leaving a steady, low hum by the end.

This was one day. He is in the middle of another one.
